The T20 World Cup in 2024 will most likely be moved out of the West Indies and the United States due to alleged poor infrastructure progress in the region. The ICC is reportedly seriously considering its options, as the tournament is set to begin in a year.
One option being considered is swapping the host countries for the 2024 and 2030 editions. According to the schedule, England, Ireland, and Scotland will host the T20 World Cup in 2030, but due to current circumstances, this could happen sooner.
While the Caribbean has previously hosted matches, this is the first time the United States has been given such a high-profile cricket event.

England hosted the T20 World Cup in 2009, so the venues would be ready for a large-scale event. If England, Ireland, and Scotland take on the task of hosting the 2024 edition, it would give the United States plenty of time to finish up infrastructure work, spruce things up with Major League Cricket, and host the tournament in 2030.
The 2024 T20 World Cup will be the tournament’s ninth edition. England is the defending champion, having won the title last year in Australia.
