Chris Gayle has made a big remark suggesting that players from India and Pakistan should demand higher payment for their matches. Gayle believes that the clash between the two arch-rivals is the highest-paid game in terms of TV viewership, and if he were in their position, he would also demand more money.
The games between India and Pakistan have always been intense and highly anticipated. The atmosphere during these matches is indescribable, as both players and fans are under immense pressure. It is considered one of the biggest matches in the world of sports.
Since India and Pakistan no longer play bilateral series, their encounters in the Asia Cup and ICC events become even more exciting. The two teams are scheduled to face each other in the ICC World Cup 2023, as recently announced by the ICC.

The highly anticipated India vs. Pakistan match is set to take place on October 15th at the Narendra Modi International Stadium in Ahmedabad. With a capacity of 130,000, the stadium promises to host an enthralling game with a massive crowd.
Highlighting the enormous revenue generated by the India vs. Pakistan match, Chris Gayle stated that it could cover the expenses of the entire ICC event. Speaking to PTI, he expressed his opinion:
“When India and Pakistan play, especially in a World Cup, the revenues they generate are humongous. One game can take care of the entire ICC event. Pakistan and India players should demand a lot of money for those games because they are highly paid games in terms of TV viewership. I don’t control the board or the ICC, but if I were in their position, I would want a lot more.”
Chris Gayle also expressed his support for Virat Kohli, expecting him to shine in the ICC World Cup 2023. Describing Kohli as a tough player, he believes that once he gets in the groove, he can be extremely dangerous.

“Tough times don’t last long, tough players last longer. Virat is tough mentally as well as physically. I don’t see any reason why he shouldn’t go to this World Cup and dominate. As players, we go through phases where things seem a bit dull, and we need positive energy around us to uplift ourselves. Once we get back in the groove, we know how dangerous we can be.”
Regarding the World Cup, Chris Gayle mentioned that India will face pressure as they play at home and are considered favorites. He also acknowledged that West Indies, like India, have not won an ICC trophy for a long time. Gayle picked India, Pakistan, England, and New Zealand as his semi-finalists.
The ICC World Cup 2023 is just three months away, with the cricket festivities beginning on October 5th with an exciting clash between England and New Zealand. The semi-finals are scheduled for November 15th and 16th, while the final will take place on November 19th in Ahmedabad.
