Indian cricketer Virat Kohli’s recent struggles in Test cricket have caught the attention of fans and critics alike. With his last century in red-ball cricket dating back to 2019, Kohli has been unable to convert his starts into big scores in the longest format of the game.
Despite a knock of 44 in the first innings of the second Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Delhi, controversial dismissal cut his innings short. In the second innings, he managed just three boundaries before getting stumped in the 19th over.
With Kohli’s drought in Test cricket stretching for 23 matches, the official Twitter handle of Iceland Cricket decided to roast the star batter for his poor form with the bat. “This statistic won’t please many of our Indian fans, but it is now 23 Tests since Virat Kohli scored a century, which was back in 2019. How long is too long?” they tweeted.
Despite his struggles in Test cricket, Kohli recently became the fastest batter to reach 25,000 runs in international cricket, reaching the milestone in just 440 innings.
With 8,195 runs in 106 Test matches, Kohli remains a vital player for the Indian cricket team, but fans and critics alike are eagerly awaiting his return to form in the longest format of the game.
