As reported by Jagran, Team India head coach Rahul Dravid is unhappy with the Nagpur pitch and has called for a change in the surface. India have been practising on the centre wicket for the past couple of days at the VCA Stadium in Nagpur.
Curators and Ground staff are now working tirelessly to fulfil requirements demanded by the coach.

Earlier it was reported that Dravid has requested for a rank turner for the 1st Test. However, now it seems that minor modifications will be made so that it could be advantageous to the home team. Turning tracks have been the feature of Indian, and it seems that Team India will stick to their guns this time too.
Jagran earlier reported that during the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2004, Sourav Ganguly also requested for a turning track in Nagpur. He however missed that game and Australia won by 342 runs.
The 4-match Test series against Australia will be the first big series of Rohit Sharma’s captaincy career. For this, the pitch was prepared according to the Indian team, but it has been asked to change by head coach Rahul Dravid.
