Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami drew the edge of Australian opener David Warner on the first day of the second Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Delhi, giving Team India their first breakthrough in the game.
It was Shami who got the crucial wicket of Warner in the 13th over of the innings. Warner was looking in good touch before Shami’s delivery took the outside edge of his bat and landed in the safe hands of Indian wicketkeeper Srikar Bharat.
Here’s the video of Shami dismissing Warner:
The Indian team erupted in joy as they broke the opening partnership and got the much-needed wicket. The Indian players congratulated Shami, who had done an excellent job of keeping the Australian batter on the back foot.
The Australian Team is now on 91 for 1 after 22.3 overs.
The Indian team would be looking to build on the momentum and put more pressure on the Australian team. With the likes of Shami, Ashwin, and Jadeja in the attack, the Indian team has a good chance of taking control of the match.
