It’s common for fans and spectators to rush onto the pitch when their favorite player is playing. One such incident happened on Day 1 of the 2nd Test between India and Australia.

One Indian fan interrupted the match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi before being tackled by security personnel and receiving a slap from them.

The majority of Indian players’ followers in India and the subcontinent are individual spectators who want to snap a selfie with them, simply touch their feet, grab and shake hands with them, or even kiss their heroes to garner media attention.

The series is standing at a very important position. A win for India in the 2nd Test will mean they will be retaining the Border Gavaskar Trophy.
