IND vs AUS 3rd Test: Is Captain Rohit Sharma And Coach Rahul Dravid Ready To Choose One Between KL Rahul And Shubman Gill?

Who should open the innings in the third Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy - KL Rahul or Shubman Gill? Captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid seem to have chalked out a new strategy regarding this.

The third Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023 is to be played from March 1 at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore. Who will open the innings with captain Rohit Sharma in the third test match? There is continuous discussion about this. In the first two Test matches, KL Rahul opened the innings with Rohit, but he flopped in both the matches. It is not just about this series, Rahul has been struggling with poor form for a long time, while Shubman Gill is seen in the best form of his career.

In such a situation, many cricket pundits believe that Gill should be given a chance and KL Rahul should be dropped for the time being. Now what will happen in Indore, it will be known before the toss, but when Team India landed for the practice session for the Indore Test, such a sight was seen that it seems that captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid are preparing for this tough match. Preparing himself to take the decision.

During net practice, both KL Rahul and Shubman Gill batted at the nets at the same time and during this both captain Rohit and coach Dravid were watching the batting of both of them standing at a neutral place. According to Sports Tak, Rohit and Dravid kept a close watch on the batting of both. Rahul was the vice-captain of the team for the first two Tests, but he has not been named as the vice-captain for the last two Tests.

In such a situation, it is already believed that the team management has made up its mind to drop KL Rahul. However, head coach Rahul Dravid has made it clear that keeping in view of KL Rahul’s ability, the team management will continue to back this player in bad times. Shubman Gill has scored hundreds in all three formats of cricket in the last few months, including a double century in One Day Internationals.
