The third Test match between India and Australia at the Indore has begun with a thrilling start. After winning the toss, India decided to bat first, but their batting line-up struggled against the Australian spinners. The hosts lost five wickets for just 46 runs in 12 overs.

    Matthew Kuhnemann

Matthew Kuhnemann was the first to strike, as he dismissed Rohit Sharma, who had scored a brilliant century in the first match. The Indian opener was stumped by Alex Carey for just 12 runs.

After that, the Australian spinners continued to dominate, as they picked up wickets at a very fast paced. Shreyas Iyer was the latest casualty, as he was bowled by Kuhnemann for duck.

Cheteshwar Pujara, who has been struggling with his form in the series, also fell cheaply. He was bowled by Nathan Lyon for just one runs.

Ravindra Jadeja, who has been India’s rockstar in the series so far, was also dismissed early. He was caught by Matthew Kuhnemann off the bowling of Nathan Lyon for just four runs.

At the time of writing, Virat Kohli and Srikar Bharat were at the crease, trying to steady the Indian innings. The hosts would hope for a big partnership from these two to get them back into the game.

Meanwhile, the Australian bowlers would be pleased with their performance, as they have put the Indian batting under immense pressure. Lyon and Kuhnemann have been the standout performers so far, with five wickets together.

It remains to be seen how the rest of the match unfolds, but one thing is for sure – the fans are in for a thrilling contest.
