Virat Kohli will join the club of Ross Taylor and Ricky Ponting

Six players have taken 300 or more catches in international cricket so far. The first name in this list is of Sri Lanka’s Mahela Jayawardena. Jayawardene has taken 440 catches in 652 matches. At the same time, in second place is Ricky Ponting, who has taken 364 catches in 560 matches. Ross Taylor of New Zealand has taken 351 catches in 450 matches and is in third place. Jacques Kallis is fourth with 338 catches and Rahul Dravid is fifth with 334 catches. Stephen Fleming is sixth with 306 catches. Now Virat Kohli is close to becoming the seventh player to do so.

Virat Kohli is one of the best fielders in the world but of late he has dropped a lot of catches in the slips. Even in 2022, he was included in the list of players who dropped the most catches in the slips and in 2023 also, he has dropped a lot of catches in the slips. Many of these catches have also been very difficult, but at the international level players like Kohli are expected to take such catches. However, it is expected that Virat will take catches as well as score runs with the bat in Indore and end the drought of centuries in the longest format of cricket.
