Cricket Australia has seen a huge increase in ticket sales from India for the upcoming Australia vs India Test series in 2024-25. This series, played for the Border Gavaskar Trophy, will feature five matches starting on November 22. It’s the first time in 33 years that these two teams will play a five-match series. India and Australia have become famous for their intense rivalry in recent years, with many thrilling matches between them.
A lot of Indian fans have bought tickets to watch the matches live at Australia’s famous stadiums. Compared to last season, there has been a six-fold increase in ticket sales from India for this upcoming series.
Joel Morrison, who manages events and operations at Cricket Australia, is very happy about the record number of tickets sold. He welcomed Indian fans to Australia and promised they would have a great time.
“We are excited to see many Indian fans coming to Australia for the NRMA Insurance Border-Gavaskar Trophy series. They will receive a warm welcome here. We want everyone to have a fun and memorable experience, and we believe this series will be remembered for a long time,” Morrison said.
Cricket Australia has created special areas called Indian Fan Zones for the first time in an Australian Test series. These zones are designed to make the experience better for Indian fans. They will be lively places where Indian supporters can come together to enjoy the matches and celebrate.
