IND vs AUS Test Series 2023: Virat Kohli or KL Rahul, Who Should be Dropped after the 1st Test in Border Gavaskar Trophy 2023?

Virat Kohli and KL Rahul both failed against Australia in the 1st innings of the 1st Test match against Australia. The former Indian captain Virat Kohli has the lowest average for a batter in Test cricket since 2020. His batting average is only 25, which is lower than almost all of the other batters in Test cricket. Even Ashwin has a better average than Kohli in Test cricket during this period.

Virat Kohli was, however, unlucky in the 1st Test against Australia. He was trying to play a leg glance on the bowling of Todd Murphy but unfortunately got a thin edge, and the ball landed in Alex Carey’s glove. He scored 12 runs off 26 balls in the Test match.

On the other hand, KL Rahul looked composed when he was batting but was unfortunately caught and bowled by Todd Murphy at the score of 20 runs. Rahul took 71 balls to get to that score.

All the stats are in front of the Indian cricket team management, and they should decide who to drop in order to pick Shubman Gill as one of the batters. Gill is in exceptional form and deserves to play in the Test series against Australia.
