IND vs PAK, Asia Cup 2023: Haris Rauf Ruled Out Due to Injury

The official broadcasters have just released a ticker, indicating that Haris Rauf won't be bowling today as a precautionary measure.

India vs Pakistan is all set to restart from where it was left off yesterday with India 147/2 in 24.1 overs with Kohli and Rahul at the crease. Unfortunately, for Pakistan the match is going to be full 50 overs but Haris Rauf is not gonna bowl today due to an injury.

The official broadcasters have just released a ticker, indicating that Haris Rauf won’t be bowling today as a precautionary measure. This could pose a significant setback for Pakistan, as it appears that Rauf might be nursing an injury, possibly a side strain, as he’s seen concealing what looks like a water bag heater under his shirt near his abdomen and side.

Morne Morkel, Pakistan’s Bowling Coach, shared that Haris Rauf began experiencing discomfort in his oblique muscle last night. After a scan, it was discovered that there is some inflammation. Considering the upcoming World Cup, we are taking a precautionary approach, and we’ll rely on other bowlers to cover the overs. Regarding yesterday’s bowling performance, Morkel mentioned that if we aren’t accurate right from the start, it can lead to conceding a few runs.

It remains to be seen whether Haris Rauf will take part in rest of the Asia Cup games.
