Virat Kohli who is known for his aggressive approach at the crease, finally ended his boundary drought in a rather sarcastic manner on Day 2 of the 1st Test against West Indies. While Team India had a dominant day with the bat, Kohli’s composed innings stood out as he took 81 balls to hit his first boundary.
The former Indian captain, typically known for his quick-scoring ability, couldn’t help but mock-celebrate after executing a well-timed cover drive off spinner Jomel Warrican. Kohli playfully glanced towards the dressing room, teasingly acknowledging his long wait for a boundary.

Although Kohli has been in top form in limited-overs cricket, his performances in Test matches have been less prolific. He recently ended his century drought in Tests with a remarkable innings against Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. However, he couldn’t capitalize on that momentum and fell victim to a delivery wide outside the off-stump, contributing to India’s loss by 209 runs.

Nevertheless, Kohli remains determined to score plenty of runs against West Indies as the series progresses. His composed demeanor and focused approach will be crucial for Team India’s success in the remainder of the match.
