Nitin Menon is India’s most experienced umpire on the ICC Elite Panel and has officiated in Tests, ODIs, T20Is and ICC events. As third umpire, he will handle run-outs, stumpings and DRS reviews in Ranchi.

Debutant Naman Dhir picked up 3/31, becoming only the third Indian spinner after Axar Patel and Pragyan Ojha to take a three-wicket haul on T20I debut. Shai Hope and Sherfane Rutherford hit fifties, but West Indies were bowled out for 171.

The chase turned into a one-man show. Shreyas Iyer reached his maiden T20I hundred in 42 balls, finishing on 102 not out, and India won by eight wickets with plenty to spare.
