India has defeated the Australian side in the 2nd Test match of the Border Gavaskar Trophy by 6 wickets on the Day 3. The Test match moved quickly, and it looked like that Australia were ahead in the Test match before the the start of the 3rd day’s play. However, Ravi Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja had other plans as they dismissed all the Australian batters quickly to set the tone of India’s ultimate victory in the match.
Australia folded for 113 runs in their second inning of the Test match, and they had a lead of 1 run from the 1st inning to give a target of 115 runs to India to win the match. Ravindra Jadeja took a seven wicket haul, while R Ashwin accounted for three Australian batters.
In reply, India started positively as Rohit Sharma scored 31 off 20 before sacrificing his wicket for Cheteshwar Pujara, who was playing his 100th Test match. After Rohit Sharma’s wicket Virat Kohli scored 20 runs and could not get the job done. Iyer also departed quickly, but Pujara and KS Bharat took India home.
Pujara hit the finishing runs in style. He scored a boundary to take India to a victory. India are now 2-0 up in the ongoing Test series.
