India Bounce Back in the 3rd T20i against South Africa to stay alive in the series

India defeated South Africa in the third T20i of the series by 48 runs to stay alive in the five-match series.

India batted first and posted a total of 179/5 against South Africa. In reply, South Africa could only manage 131/10 to concede the loss against India.

Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ishan Kishan scored individual half-centuries and set a platform for Indian batters to come.

Gaikwad scored 57 off 35, while Kishan scored 54 off 35. Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant failed to register substantial scores.

Hardik Pandya was fabulous at the end. He scored 31 off 21 to help India reach 179.

For South Africa, Dwaine Pretorius took two wickets while Rabada, Shamsi and Maharaj took one wicket each.

Chasing 180, the Proteas batter failed to register partnerships to take them over the line.

Temba Bavuma and Reeza Hendricks, the openers for South Africa, registered scores of 8 and 23 runs, respectively in the third T20i.

Rassie van der Dussen only contributed one run, while Heinrich Klaasen and Wayne Parnell scored in the twenties.

David Miller could not help South Africa this time around. He registered only 3 runs.

For India, almost everyone except Avesh Khan bowled with a good economy.

Harshal Patel dismissed four batters while Yuzvendra Chahal sent back three batters. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Axar Patel dismissed one batter each in the match.

Yuzvendra Chahal was named player of the match for his impressive bowling figures.

The series now depends on the outcome of the upcoming two matches. If South Africa wins any one of them, then they will win the series, and if India wins both of them, then India will come out victorious in the series.
