ICC has given the deadline of 5th September 2023 to each of the participating nation in the Cricket World Cup 2023 to announce a provisional squad which can undergo a few changes before the tournament starts.
Australia recently announced a 17-men World Cup 2023 provisional squad while England yesterday revealed a 15-men provisional squad for the tournament. Pakistan has also come up with its provisional squad for ODI World Cup 2023.

All eyes are now on BCCI which is expected to announce the provisional squad for ICC ODI World Cup 2023 and the squad for Asia Cup 2023 soon. According to the sources, BCCI will announce the World Cup 2023 squad and Asia Cup 2023 squad by August 25.
India’s problem of finding a stable number four continues as Shreyas Iyer is dealing with a back injury. Tilak Varma has emerged as a new prospect for that spot. Sanju Samson and Suryakumar Yadav are also in the line for the same.
