    The IND vs ENG 2nd Test in Visakhapatnam witnessed a thrilling battle between bat and ball, resulting in India securing a resounding 106-run victory over England. The outcome of the match significantly impacted the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25 points table, leading to a reshuffle in team rankings.

    India’s Resurgence in the ICC WTC 2023-25:

    After a compelling win against England, Team India has seen an improvement in their win percentage in the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25. With a win percentage of 52.78, India has ascended to the 2nd spot in the WTC table. The team has played a total of 6 Tests, securing victory in 3, suffering 2 defeats, and managing a draw in one encounter. Despite the setback in the previous Test against England and a loss to South Africa in the previous series, India showcased resilience and determination in the recent encounter.

    England’s Setback in WTC Rankings:

    On the other hand, England faced a decline in their win percentage after losing the 2nd Test against India. With 3 wins, 3 defeats, and 1 draw in 7 games, England now holds a win percentage of 25.0, down from their earlier figure of 29.16.

    Australia’s Dominance Continues:

    Despite the shifts in rankings, Australia maintains its stronghold at the top of the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 points table. With a win percentage of 55.0, Australia has played 10 games across three series, securing victories in 6 matches, enduring 3 losses, and concluding one game in a draw. The defending champions remain a formidable force in the championship.

    India vs England 2nd Test Recap:

    Meanwhile, India crushed England by 106 runs. India set up a target of 399 for visitors in the 2nd innings. However, the Ben Stokes and Co. were bowled out for 292. Earlier, India batted first in the match and mustered 396-10 in 1st innings.

    Yashasvi Jaiswal shattered a double hundred to register his second Test century. Later, England were bowled out for 253, gifting a 225-run lead to India. On the cusp of a huge lead, Indian batters capitalized on their good batting show in the 2nd innings.

    Shubman Gill scored a century to help India form a gigantic 399-run target for the visitors. With Ravichandran Ashwin’s 3 wickets, India bowled out England for 292 in 2nd innings to clinch a big victory.
