India vs Australia 3rd ODI: David Warner to Lose his Opening Spot to Mitchell Marsh for World Cup 2023 ? Here’s what can happen to David Warner ahead of the 50 Over World Cup 2023 which is scheduled to be played in India in October and November.

David Warner to Lose his Opening Spot to Mitchell Marsh for World Cup 2023

Mitchell Marsh has blasted consecutive half centuries in the first two ODIs of the ongoing India vs Australia Series. He remained unbeaten in the second ODI and guided his team to victory in just 11 overs. In the first ODI, he was the only batter who scored freely and registered a half century. Marsh is at the peak of his form and can turn out to be the permanent opener for Australia in ODIs.

Mitchell Marsh usually plays in the middle order for Australia but an injury to David Warner before the series presented him with the opportunity to bat at the opening spot with Travis Head. He made full use of that opportunity and showcased his class at the top.

David Warner has recovered from the injury but he is expected to warm the bench as both Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh have proved themselves with the bat. This can ultimately lead to David Warner losing his opening slot to Mitchell Marsh in the upcoming World Cup.
