India vs Australia 3rd Test Pitch Report for Indore Stadium

India and Australia are going to face each other in the 3rd Test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2023 at Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore. Steve Smith is going to captain the Australian side in the absence of Pat Cummins. India is going to be led by Rohit Sharma, but who will be the vice-captain for India is one of the things that cricket lovers want answers to. KL Rahul was recently released from his duty of vice-captaincy for the Indian Test team.

India has a 2-0 lead in the series and has already retained the Border Gavaskar Trophy. On the other hand, Australia can only hope to draw the series if they win the remaining two Test matches of the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2023. David Warner and Josh Hazlewood are ruled out for Australia due to injuries. Ashton Agar has returned home to play domestic cricket, while Pat Cummins is struggling with a family issue. On the other hand, India is being pressured by the media and people to play Shubman Gill instead of KL Rahul in the 3rd Test match.

The pitch report for the third Test between India and Australia at Indore Stadium suggests that the batters will have a good surface to bat on. The Holkar stadium pitch typically favours batters. Because the boundaries are short, batsmen tend to rule the roost even when there is bounce on the pitch. Sehwag batted with aplomb, scoring a record-breaking double tonne against the West Indies in 2011. Even further back in time, India defeated England with seven wickets to spare in 2006. However, in Test cricket, the third and fourth innings are always difficult to score, and the same will be true on this pitch. At this surface, the team that wins the toss should bat first.
