The highly anticipated ICC ODI World Cup 2023 match between India and Pakistan, originally scheduled for October 15 in Ahmedabad, has generated significant excitement in both countries. However, due to various reasons, there will be modifications made to the World Cup schedule. Three members of the International Cricket Council (ICC) board have communicated their concerns about the schedule changes to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

In response to the situation, BCCI secretary Jay Shah held a meeting with the heads of state associations hosting the World Cup matches. Following the meeting, a major decision was taken to implement slight adjustments to the schedule. The updated version of the World Cup schedule is expected to be released within the next two to three days. This move comes as the BCCI aims to address logistical and other considerations while ensuring a successful and smooth tournament.

As of now, the exact matches that have been rescheduled and the reasons behind those changes are not disclosed to the public. The BCCI secretary did not provide any information on the identities of the three cricket boards that had objections to the schedule changes, including whether the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) was one of them.
