In July, Team India is scheduled to begin a comprehensive tour of West Indies, featuring matches in all three formats of cricket. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially released the schedule, which includes two Test matches, three One-Day Internationals (ODIs), and a five-match T20 International series.
The tour will commence on July 12. The two Tests against West Indies will mark the beginning of India’s journey in the World Test Championship Cycle (2023-25). This championship cycle started with the ongoing Ashes 2023 Test series between England and Australia.
In their previous tour of West Indies in 2022, the Indian cricket team emerged victorious with a 3-0 win in the ODI series and a 4-1 win in the five-match T20I series. It is worth mentioning that the upcoming two-match Test series between India and West Indies in July 2023 will be the first Test encounter between the two teams to take place in the Caribbean since 2019.
