India vs West Indies: Windies Names Preparatory Test Squad

Notable absentees from the camp squad include Jason Holder, Alzarri Joseph, and Kyle Mayers.

Cricket West Indies (CWI) recently announced an 18-member squad for a preparatory camp before the upcoming two-match Test series against India in July. Kraigg Brathwaite will continue to lead the team. Due to their involvement in the ICC World Cup qualifiers, some senior players have not been included in the camp squad.

The camp will commence on Friday at the Coolidge Cricket Ground (CCG) in Antigua, and the team will later travel to Dominica on July 9. The first Test match will start on July 12 in Dominica, followed by the second Test on July 20 at Queen’s Park Oval in Trinidad.

After the Test series, there will be a three-match ODI series starting on July 27, followed by a five-match T20I series beginning on August 3.

According to Cricket West Indies (CWI) on Twitter, the CWI Men’s Selection Panel has named the 18-member squad for the preparatory camp ahead of the Test series against India in the Caribbean.

Notable absentees from the camp squad include Jason Holder, Alzarri Joseph, and Kyle Mayers. On the other hand, Kavem Hodge, Alick Athanaze, and Jair McAllister are the new additions to the squad.

The West Indies team will be present in Zimbabwe until July 9 before their preparations for the series.
