IPL 2022, CSK VS PBKS: Preview, Fantasy XI and Much More

CSK vs PBKS, the 11th match of Tata IPL 2022, will be played at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai from 7:30 PM IST on 2nd April 2022.

Team Updates:

CSK have failed to register a win in both of their games at the tournament so far. Against Lucknow Super Giants, their bowling unit was exposed when they could not defend a massive 210 runs. In the absence of Deepak Chahar, Super Kings looks vulnerable and find themselves missing an x-factor. However, their batting unit has ticked all the points, with almost every batter showcasing good form against LSG.

Robin Uthappa, at the top, in particular, is batting excellently, and MS Dhoni in the death overs is back to his vintage self. Dwaine Pretorius is another positive that CSK gained in their encounter versus LSG. Chennai would hope to get the first two points on the board with their batters doing the heavy-lifting for the awaited CSK vs PBKS game.

PBKS, on the other hand, has produced two contrasting performances in their two outings at the tournament. Their batting unit displayed maturity and hitting ability against RCB in a record run chase of 210. However, the team played the complete opposite of the RCB game against the Kolkata Knight Riders. Except for Bhanuka Rajapaksa, every batter from the PBKS line-up played some unneeded shots to get out.

PBKS would want to ensure in the encounter against CSK that those same mistakes are not repeated. Kagiso Rabada’s inclusion in the squad has made their bowling line-up formidable enough to defend a competitive score. PBKS need their batters to become the pillars for their bowlers in CSK vs PBKS clash at Brabourne Stadium.

Probable XIs:

CSK: Ruturaj Gaikwad, Robin Uthappa, Moeen Ali, Ambati Rayudu, MS Dhoni (wk), Ravindra Jadeja (c), Shivam Dube, Dwayne Bravo, Dwaine Pretorius, Mukesh Choudhary, Tushar Deshpande

PBKS: Mayank Agarwal (c), Shikhar Dhawan, Liam Livingstone, Bhanuka Rajapaksa (wk), Odean Smith, Shahrukh Khan, Harpreet Brar, Raj Bawa, Kagiso Rabada, Arshdeep Singh, Rahul Chahar

Cricreads Fantasy XI:

Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Mayank Agarwal, Shikhar Dhawan (vc), Robin Uthappa, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ravindra Jadeja, Dwaine Pretorius, Moeen Ali (c), Rahul Chahar, Kagiso Rabada, Dwayne Bravo

Predicted Star Batter:

Moeen Ali, the English all-rounder, is going to be the superstar of the match, according to our panel of analysts. Moeen played a vital knock against Punjab Kings and looked in good touch. Batting at number 3 for CSK has given him the freedom and time that he requires to build up long innings.

Predicted Star Bowler:

Kagiso Rabada, the Proteas pacer, was phenomenal against Kolkata Knight Riders. Cricreads believe that the pacer from Punjab Kings is a tough customer to handle, and CSK batters will find themselves struggling against him in CSK vs PBKS clash.

CSK vs PBKS Predicted Winner:

Cricreads predicts that CSK will suffer their third consecutive loss in the tournament in the match against Punjab Kings.
