IPL 2022, KKR VS MI: Predicted Playing XIs, Fantasy XI, Predicted Winner

KKR vs MI, the 56th match of Tata IPL 2022, is scheduled to be played at DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai from 7:30 PM IST on 9th May 2022.

Team Updates:

Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians both are already out of the race for the playoffs. Kolkata has had a drastic change of fortune in the last 7 games. They have lost 6 out of those and look completely unsettled. Meanwhile, Mumbai has finally gained some momentum after 2 consecutive wins. There are still gaps in their play that they would like to cover up before the season wraps.

Knight Riders are falling apart as a team due to a lack of trust being shown by the management in the capabilities of their players. Frequent chopping and replacing from the playing XI has burdened the players with unnecessary pressure. Shreyas Iyer, the skipper, has failed to lead from the front, and they could only hope for a turnaround in the remaining games to give something for their fans to cheer.

In contrast, Mumbai Indians have finally found their winning mojo and would want to carry on with the same attitude and mindset in the remaining games. They defeated the table-toppers Gujarat Titans in a close encounter which will undoubtedly boost their confidence. Rohit Sharma, the skipper, finally played a knock of substance in the previous game, and the team would expect him to do the same against Knight Riders.
