IPL 2022, RCB VS SRH: Sunrisers bowlers dominate the game

RCB vs SRH, the 36th match of Tata IPL 2022, brought back the haunting memories of 23rd April for Royal Challengers Bangalore. RCB scored the lowest team total of Tata IPL so far. They could only manage 68 runs in 16.1 overs to end their dismal batting display against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

RCB vs SRH Highlights:

Kane Willimason won the toss and opted to bowl first at Barbourne Stadium in Mumbai. Both teams announced that they were playing with the same team which featured in their previous outing.

RCB Inning:

In the 2nd over of the RCB inning, Marco Jansen put up a masterclass of bowling as he dismissed Faf du Plessis, Virat Kohli and Anuj Rawat. Jensen clean-bowled the in-form Du Plessis and sent back Kohli on the first delivery he faced.

For the first time in IPL history, Virat Kohli has been dismissed on a golden duck for two consecutive innings. Anuj Rawat also could not survive the barrage from Jansen and followed his seniors back into the dugout.

Maxwell and Prabhudessai were the only batters to score in double digits for RCB. Maxwell scored 12 off 11, while Prabhudessai managed 15 off 20. T Natrajan removed Maxwell, while Suchith dismissed Prabhudessai.

Dinesh Karthik also had a rare bad day and departed without scoring any run. The rest of the RCB batting line-up crumbled in no amount of time, and they folded up on 68 in 16.1 overs.

Marco Jansen and T Natrajan picked 3 wickets each, while Suchith accounted for 2, and Umran Malik and Bhuvi dismissed one batter each.

SRH Inning:

Abhishek Sharma came out and blasted the RCB blowing unit. He was in a hurry to finish the game and improve the net run rate for his team. He scored 47 off 28, including 8 fours and a six, to make his team comfortably win the match in just 8 overs. Rahul Tripathi finished the RCB vs SRH game in style with a six.
