Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 is going to start on 31st March 2023. The tournament will continue for almost two months and a total of 74 matches will be played in it. IPL 2023 might be the last chance for a few senior Indian players to leave their mark on the biggest cricket league of the world.
3 Indians Who Might Retire After IPL 2023
1- MS Dhoni
Mahendra Singh Dhoni is almost set to retire from IPL after this year’s edition. He is in the tournament this year to groom a leader for Chennai Super Kings and leave behind a rich legacy. The former Indian cricketer plays only the IPL and this is surely going to be his last run in the tournament as the captain.

2- Virat Kohli
Virat Kohli gave up the captaincy of Royal Challengers Bangalore before the start of IPL 2022 and had an ordinary season that year. The Indian cricket team management is not considering him into the T20i plans for the foreseeable future and he may decide to hang up his boots in the shortest format of the game if he fails to score big runs in the tournament.
3- Rohit Sharma
The Indian cricket team captain and the captain of Mumbai Indians has failed miserably in the recent T20Is. He is out of India’s plan for the T20 World Cup 2024 and if he has a lackluster season with the bat for Mumbai Indians then he will most likely take retirement from T20s.
