Openers: Rahmanullah Gurbaz [wk] & Venkatesh Iyer
Not a single player in KKR is having a guaranteed spot as an opener. However, Venkatesh Iyer, who has the ability to open the innings, is likely to join hands with Afghanistan’s Rahmanullah Gurbazwas for the opening role. Litton Das and N. Jagadeesan are the other openers that KKR could try in place of Rahmanullah Gurbaz.
Middle-order: Nitish Rana, Shreyas Iyer [c] & Rinku Singh
Shreyas Iyer should retain his original position at number 4, Nitish Rana should play at number 3, and Rinku Singh should play as a finisher at number 5. Rinku can play at number 6 too if Russell is sent before him.

Lower-order: Andre Russell & Sunil Narine
Russell can bat at number 5 or 6 depending on the position of the team, and Sunil Narine is likely to bat at number 7. Shakib AL Hasan or David Wiese are also strong contenders for the number 7 spot.
Bowlers: Shardul Thakur, Lockie Ferguson, Umesh Yadav & Varun Chakravarthy
KKR had earlier traded Shardul Thakur and Lockie Ferguson from Delhi and Gujarat respectively. These two bowlers along with Umesh Yadav and Varun Chakravarthy can make KKR’s bowling line-up very lethal.
The 16th edition of the Indian Premier League will be starting from March 31 and the last league match will be played on May 21. Defending Champions Gujarat Titans will be facing Chennai Super Kings in the opening encounter.
