David Warner has scored runs in almost every game for Delhi Capitals so far in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League 2023, but his strike rate is a cause of concern. Runs have not come easy for the left-handed Aussie batter, and to an extent, the collapse of DC’s middle order is also responsible for the same.

David Warner has a huge responsibility in the absence of Rishabh Pant to somehow get the middle overs during the DC batting up and running. He is the only batter of Delhi Capitals who does the job, as others have looked clueless in the tournament so far. However, for Warner to succeed in the tournament, he will need to bring a change in his batting approach.

Warner is not able to get a move on at the top of the inning, and he has experience playing in the middle order in the Indian Premier League. The DC management can ask the veteran Aussie to bat at number four and let Phil Salt open the innings with Prithvi Shaw in today’s match against Mumbai Indians at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
