IPL 2023 | DC vs MI: Coach Pravin Amre Challenges His Batters to Score Big in Powerplay against Mumbai Indians

With Amre’s challenges, Delhi Capitals will look to end their losing streak in IPL 2023.

DC batting coach, Pravin Amre, has thrown a massive challenge to Mumbai Indians’ batting lineup ahead of their clash in IPL 2023. Amre wants his team to be more aggressive during powerplay overs, especially after suffering three consecutive losses in the tournament. DC’s recent losses to LSG, GT, and RR were not even close, and Amre believes his team’s powerplay game with the bat is the key to success.

Shaw

While Prithvi Shaw has struggled to find his form, Amre has expressed his confidence in the explosive batter, stating that he is a capable player who hasn’t delivered according to their expectations. Amre believes that if the top four batters get runs, then the team will be in a different position. He also has a particular score in mind that the team should work towards in the first six overs, which is 50 for 1.

The DC batting coach’s comments reveal the urgency to improve their batting and turn things around in the tournament. Currently sitting at the bottom of the table, the team needs to find their rhythm before it’s too late. While attacking in the powerplay might be the answer to some of DC’s woes, much of their batting order needs to find some form.

Warner

The upcoming match against MI will be crucial for DC to end their losing streak and gain some confidence. While MI is also struggling to find their footing in the tournament, they have a strong batting lineup that can give DC a tough time. It will be interesting to see if Pravin Amre’s challenge fires up DC’s batting unit and helps them turn their fortunes around. The match promises to be an exciting encounter between two strong teams in IPL 2023.
