IPL 2023: Ganguly sees Shaw ready for India selection while Ponting predicts his best IPL season yet

Ahead of the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 season, Delhi Capitals’ Director of Cricket Sourav Ganguly has expressed his confidence in young top-order batter Prithvi Shaw’s readiness to play for the Indian National team. While Shaw has had previous experience with the national team, he has yet to establish a regular position in the side. Despite this, Shaw has impressed with his explosive hitting and has secured a place in the DC-setup alongside David Warner, forming one of the most dynamic opening duos in the tournament.

Ganguly believes that Shaw’s potential is now at a level where he is ready to represent India, but acknowledges that it ultimately depends on available slots in the team.
