Rinku Singh spoiled Rashid Khan’s impressive performance of taking a maiden IPL hat trick in the 17th over, as he had different intentions. Despite Gujarat Titans looking well on their way to victory, needing only 29 runs off the last over, Rinku Singh did the impossible. He hit Yash Dayal for five consecutive sixes in the final over to successfully chase down the target of 205.

After Gujarat won the toss and chose to bat, Vijay Shankar played a pivotal role in leading his team to victory against KKR. He scored an unbeaten 63 runs off 24 balls, which included four boundaries and five sixes, all of which were hit in the last two overs. In the 19th over, he hit Lockie Ferguson for two maximums and then hammered Shardul Thakur for three consecutive sixes in the final over. Sai Sudharsan also performed well, hitting back-to-back half-centuries before being dismissed for 53 off 38 balls by Sunil Narine, who took three wickets in his allotted overs.
During the chase, Rinku Singh pulled off a remarkable feat as Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) clinched a thrilling three-wicket victory against Gujarat Titans (GT). With KKR requiring 29 runs in the final over, Rinku blasted five consecutive maximums off Yash Dayal’s bowling to complete the daunting 205-run chase on the last ball of the match. Rinku’s unbeaten 48 off 21 balls, which included six sixes, outshone Gujarat’s stand-in skipper Rashid Khan’s hattrick earlier in the innings. Rashid Khan had taken the wickets of Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, and Shardul Thakur to secure his maiden hattrick in the IPL. KKR’s chase had faltered early on when they lost both their openers, but Venkatesh Iyer (impact substitute) and Nitish Rana revived their chase with a 100-run partnership for the third wicket. However, Alzarri Joseph dismissed Rana for 45(29) and Iyer for 83(40) to keep Gujarat’s hopes alive before Rinku’s heroics sealed the deal for KKR.
