IPL 2023 | GT vs KKR: Wriddhiman Saha Hopes for Test Comeback by Performing Well for Gujarat Titans

Gujarat Titans' wicketkeeper-batter, Wriddhiman Saha, remains focused on his current duties with the IPL team, hopes to regain his form and lead GT to the playoffs for the second consecutive year.

Veteran wicketkeeper-batter Wriddhiman Saha is not letting rumours of a Test comeback affect his focus on the ongoing IPL 2023 season with Gujarat Titans. Despite a slow start to the season, Saha is committed to giving his best to his team, who are gearing up for their next match against Kolkata Knight Riders on April 29.

Saha

Saha’s hopes for a national team comeback were buoyed by Ajinkya Rahane’s selection for the World Test Championship, but the 38-year-old is not letting that distract him from his current duties. With Rishabh Pant out due to injury, Saha only has KS Bharat as his competition for the Test captaincy.

The Kolkata-born cricketer is looking forward to playing in his hometown but is not expecting any special treatment. He knows that conditions in Kolkata’s Eden Gardens will be different from Gujarat Titans’ home ground in Motera.

Saha

As the IPL 2023 reaches its halfway point, Saha will be hoping to find his form and help his team make it to the playoffs for the second consecutive year. Despite his average performance so far, Saha remains a valuable player for the Gujarat Titans, and his experience and skills will be crucial to the team’s success in the coming matches.
