IPL 2023: Hardik Pandya to Take Rest in a Few Matches

Indian all-rounder to prioritize recovery and workload management in upcoming IPL season.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) has always been a gruelling tournament, with players being tested both physically and mentally throughout the season. And for Hardik Pandya, one of the most sought-after all-rounders in the league, the upcoming edition of the IPL will be no different. However, it has been reported that he will be taking rest in a few matches to manage his workload.

Hardik Pandya is an integral part of the Gujarat Titans (GT) team and has played a key role in their success in the past season, where the team won the IPL Trophy. However, the 29-year-old has had his fair share of injury concerns in recent times, which has led to concerns over his fitness and workload management.

In a recent interview, GT coach Ashish Nehra confirmed that the team is looking to manage Hardik’s workload during the upcoming season. “Hardik is a key player for us, and we want to make sure that he is available for the entire season. We will be looking to rest him in a few matches, depending on how the tournament progresses,” he said.

Gujarat Titans IPL Champions

The decision to rest Hardik Pandya in a few matches is a wise move, considering the fact that he has had issues with his back in the past. However, Gujarat Titans have a talented squad and the absence of Hardik Pandya for a few matches is not likely to have a huge impact on their chances of success.
