Kedar Jadhav is back in the game, ready to help the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in IPL 2023. Jadhav, who played for RCB in 2016 and 2017, recently spoke about his conversation with head coach Sanjay Bangar that led to his comeback to the team. Jadhav was named as a replacement for David Wiley, who picked up a toe injury in RCB’s defeat to the Kolkata Knight Riders.
Jadhav revealed that he was surprised by the call from RCB, but he is excited to be back and give his 110 percent. The 38-year-old has played 93 matches in his IPL career with five different franchises and has scored 1,196 runs at an average of 22.15 and a strike rate of 123.17.
Jadhav recently performed remarkably in the Ranji Trophy, scoring 555 runs in four matches with two centuries and two half-centuries. Speaking about his return to domestic cricket, he said, “the hunger to score big runs was there, and that’s when I felt I can now come back and play again at all the levels.”

RCB’s middle order has struggled this season, and they are heavily dependent on Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis, and Glenn Maxwell to do the bulk of the scoring. Jadhav’s addition to the team can be the solution to their middle-order woes.
Jadhav will take on the Delhi Capitals in Delhi on Saturday, May 6, and his fans can’t wait to see him back in action. The player has always performed well when he has prepared for it, and this time is no different. He is ready to give his best and help RCB lift the trophy in IPL 2023.
