On Monday (May 8), at the Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will face off against the Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the 53rd match of the Indian Premier League 2023.
Kolkata Knight Riders, who had won their four out of ten matches against the RCB, GT, RCB and SRH will look to accumulate 2 more points in today’s match against the Punjab Kings. KKR holds the eighth position on the points table.
Punjab Kings, on the other hand, who had won their five out of ten matches against the KKR, RR, LSG, MI and CSK will look to get 2 more points in today’s match against the Kolkata Knight Riders. PBKS holds seventh position on the points table.

- Group A will consist of Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals, and Lucknow Super Giants.
- Group B will consist of Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Punjab Kings, and Gujarat Titans.
- In total, there will be 14 matches for each of the 10 teams, consisting of seven home and seven away games. The teams will face the five teams from the opposing group two times each, while they will play against the other four teams from their own group only once.
- Once the league stage is over, the playoffs will feature the top 4 teams.
