IPL 2023: Know why it would be very difficult to stop CSK from winning the tournament

CSK is the 2nd most successful team in the IPL.

In the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are going to be watched by fans all over the world. Ten teams are participating in IPL 2023, but fans have an emotional bond with Chennai Super Kings and the most important reason for this is captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

41-year-old MS Dhoni has won four titles for CSK and has taken them to the finals nine times. His mere presence is enough to terrorize the opposing team. As a professional cricketer, this might be MS Dhoni’s last season and he would like to leave no stone unturned to make it memorable.

CSK has high hopes from Ben Stokes

The IPL has now returned to the ‘Home and Away’ format and Chennai have to play seven matches at their stronghold Chepauk. The captaincy of the Chennai team, which failed to reach the playoffs last season, was handed over to Ravindra Jadeja, but later Dhoni was made the captain again. No team would like to take Chennai lightly this time in the IPL. England all-rounder Ben Stokes is now in the team who can prove to be the X factor.

The presence of Ben Stokes will strengthen Chennai’s cross-hitting. On the slowpitch of Chepauk, he can turn the tide of the match by bowling one or two brilliant overs. Ravindra Jadeja and Moeen Ali can also prove to be very effective in the seven home matches at Chepauk. Devon Conway and Rituraj Gaikwad will be useful in batting while Ambati Rayudu, Stokes, Dhoni and Jadeja will strengthen the middle order.
