Former Indian bowler RP Singh has hailed Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis as a crucial player for the LSG team, saying it’s impossible to imagine the team without him. After Stoinis played a remarkable inning of 72 runs off just 40 deliveries against PBKS, Singh praised the player for showing the LSG management that he could go up the batting order.
Stoinis, who was awarded Player of the Match honors, scored six fours and five sixes in his innings. Speaking on JioCinema, Singh called Stoinis an experienced player who has the ability to read the game well and adjust his batting according to the bowlers. Singh said, “Marcus Stoinis picks up slower deliveries really well, he can clear long on or long off, his technique makes him great, and he has a lot of strength.”

Stoinis, who typically bats a bit lower in the order, revealed that he enjoyed the responsibility of bringing the game to a close. He also mentioned that he did not expect his partnership with Badoni to result in 257 runs. Lucknow Super Giants scored 257 runs in their 20 overs, the second-highest total in IPL history, and went on to trounce Punjab Kings by 56 runs in Mohali.
