The Indian Premier League (IPL) saw a historic moment when Arjun Tendulkar, son of cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar, made his debut for the Mumbai Indians team in a match against Kolkata Knight Riders. Sachin Tendulkar opened up about his feelings on watching his son play his first game in front of him.
Arjun, who is a bowling all-rounder, had been part of the Mumbai Indians since 2021 but had not gotten the chance to play in the IPL. However, his good performances in domestic cricket for Goa earned him his maiden cap.

Sachin Tendulkar revealed that he wanted his son to express himself without any pressure and, for the first time, he watched Arjun play in front of him. He even chose to sit in the dressing room to not distract Arjun from his plans and focus.
“It is a different feeling because 2008 was the first season for me, and 16 years down the line, he plays for the same team. Not bad!,” Sachin Tendulkar said.
Arjun Tendulkar also expressed his excitement about representing the franchise that he has supported since 2008. He said that it was a great moment to receive his cap from the captain of MI and the Indian team.
