PBKS assistant coach Brad Haddin believes that Prabhsimran Singh, the young batter in the team, has the potential to be a match-winner if he finds consistency in his performance. Haddin spoke about the importance of backing Singh and allowing him to play a high-risk game during the powerplay overs, where he is expected to play attacking shots and provide a good start to the team. While Singh has shown flashes of brilliance, he has struggled to maintain consistency, having scored a fiery 60 in one match followed by two consecutive ducks in the next two.
Haddin stressed on the need for Singh to understand his role in the team and focus on playing his game with the right tempo. With Shikhar Dhawan already in prime form, a consistent Prabhsimran Singh could make for a formidable opening pair for the Punjab Kings in IPL 2023.

The Punjab Kings had a disappointing game against the Gujarat Titans, where they could only score 153 runs, with Singh playing 22 balls for just 14 runs. However, Haddin believes that the 22-year-old has a lot of upside and can be a dangerous player if he can find some consistency.

The team will be looking to bounce back in their upcoming match against Lucknow Super Giants, and Prabhsimran Singh will be eager to put in a more consistent performance. Haddin’s belief in the young batter’s ability could prove to be a turning point for the Punjab Kings’ season, as they look to climb up the table and make a strong push for the playoffs.
