Prithvi Shaw, the opener of Delhi Capitals may be asked to bat at number three to accommodate the English batter Phil Salt at the top with David Warner in the batting order. Since Rishabh Pant is out of the tournament DC will either play Sarfaraz Khan or Phil Salt in the playing XI.

They will start the tournament with Sarfaraz Khan as the main wicketkeeper batter but if he fails to perform then DC will move to Phil Salt and in that case Prithvi Shaw may be asked to bat at number three in the batting order in IPL 2023.

Recently, Prithvi Shaw was involved in a huge controversy when a video of him and an influencer trying to get a selfie with him without his permission went viral.
