However, they could only manage to score 192-7, falling short of the target. Nathan Ellis was named the Player of the Match for his 4-wicket haul.
In their previous match, Delhi Capitals suffered a 6-wicket loss against Gujarat Titans. DC managed to put up a score of 162-8 in their 20 overs with David Warner (37) and Axar Patel (36) being the top scorers. However, none of the batsmen played an exceptional innings. DC managed to take three wickets in the powerplay, but Sai Sudharsan’s unbeaten knock of 62 guided the Gujarat Titans to a comfortable win. Vijay Shankar (29) and David Miller (31) also contributed significantly with the bat. Sai Sudarshan was awarded the player of the match.
