The match 60 of IPL 2023 between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at Jaipur’s Sawai Mansingh Stadium on Sunday, 14th May promises to be an exciting contest. Rajasthan is on the fifth position in the points table, while Bangalore is on the seventh position.

RR, led by Sanju Samson, have won six and lost six matches so far, while RCB, captained by Faf du Plessis, have won five and six matches in their campaign. In their last match, RR secured a comfortable win against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).  Meanwhile, RCB suffered a huge loss against the Mumbai Indians (MI) in their last match.

Two highly skilled teams are set to collide in what promises to be an exciting match. With both the teams eager to secure their seventh and sixth win in the IPL 2023. Both teams have played eleven matches in this season. Rajasthan has won 12 games, while Bangalore has won 14 games so far in the head to head encounters.

Here are three player battles to watch out for during RR vs RCB match:

1) Yashasvi Jaiswal vs Mohammed Siraj

Yashasvi Jaiswal’s recent explosive knock in the IPL has made him a key wicket for RCB, but Mohammed Siraj may pose a challenge for him with the new ball. However, Jaiswal has a good record against Siraj, having scored 34 runs off 25 balls without being dismissed. Siraj has been lethal in the powerplay, taking eight of his 15 wickets this season in that phase.

2) Virat Kohli vs Trent Boult

When RR met RCB earlier this season, Trent Boult dismissed Virat Kohli for a golden duck. However, Kohli has scored 60 runs against the New Zealand pacer in the IPL at a decent strike rate of 127.65. Boult has not been able to get Kohli out on any other occasion in the IPL. Kohli has been in good form against left-arm pacers this season, with a strike rate of 157.62.

3) Glenn Maxwell vs Yuzvendra Chahal

Yuzvendra Chahal and Glenn Maxwell are likely to face off in the middle overs of the RCB innings. While Chahal has dismissed Maxwell three times in eight IPL innings, the latter has a strike rate of 123.68 in this battle. Maxwell has a strike rate of 169.23 against leg-spinners this season but has fallen prey to them three times. Chahal has been in great form, claiming four-wicket hauls in his last two outings.
