According to an IPL media advisory, Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson was fined Rs 12 lakhs for maintaining a slow over-rate during their match against Chennai Super Kings, which was the team’s first offence of the season under the IPL’s Code of Conduct. During the same match, Samson was dismissed for a duck for the second consecutive time in the current IPL season. Ravindra Jadeja bowled him out in the ninth over, and also dismissed Devdutt Padikkal a few balls earlier. Despite these setbacks, Rajasthan Royals managed to secure a thrilling last-ball victory against CSK on Wednesday, thanks to Sandeep Sharma’s impressive performance in the final over. This was Rajasthan Royals’ third win in four matches, while CSK faced their second defeat in the season.
