Rajasthan Royals has so many openers in their squad that they are often confused about whom to open the inning with. Jos Buttler is a set opener for Rajathan Royals in IPL, but the second spot for the opener has always been in scrutiny.

Yashasvi Jaiswal and Devdutt Padikkal have been tried as openers for RR in IPL 2022, but both of them could not replicate the them same success as Jos Buttler.

Sanju Samson, the skipper for RR, usually bats at number four. However, there was a time when he used to open in IPL. This year the RR captain can look to maximise his potential by opening the innings alongside Jos Buttler in IPL 2023.

Rajasthan Royals will start their campaign in IPL 2022 with a match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 2, 2023. The team led by Sanju Samson reached the finals in IPL 2022 but was beaten by the Gujarat Titans.

IPL 2023 will start on 31st March 2023 and will have a total of 74 matches. The tournament will stream live on Star Sports Network and JioCinema in India.
