    IPL 2023 is all set to kick off on 31st March 2023 with a blockbuster match between the defending champions Gujarat Titans and the four time IPL winners Chennai Super Kings at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Stadium. A total of 74 matches are going to be played in this year’s IPL, which makes the event to expand about two months in total. Here we have covered everything you need to know about IPL 2023 schedule, start date and time of all matches, team squads and playoff dates.

    IPL 2023 Schedule

    The official schedule of IPL 2023 was announced on 17th February 2023 by Board of Cricket Council of India (BCCI). The first match in the group stage of IPL 2023 is scheduled to be played at Narendra Modi Stadium between Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings on 31st March 2023. On the other hand, the last match of the group stage of IPL 2023 will be played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Gujarat Titans at Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

    April 1 will see the first double-header day of the season, where Punjab Kings will go against Kolkata Knight Riders in Mohali, and Lucknow Super Giants will take on Delhi Capitals in Lucknow. The upcoming season of IPL 2023 will have 18 double headers, with the day games starting at 3:30 PM IST and the evening games starting at 07:30 PM IST. Below is the full IPL 2023 schedule in detail.

    IPL 2023 Venues

    A total of 12 venues are going to used for all 74 matches in the IPL 2023. Below is the full list of IPL 2023 venues.

    IPL 2023 Total Matches

    IPL 2023 will have a total of 74 matches, including the eliminator, semifinals and the final. There will be a total of 70 league matches which will be played across 52 days on 12 venues that are finalised for the tournament.

    IPL 2023 Matches Start Date and Time

    IPL 2023 schedule states that the tournament will begin with a match between CSK and GT on 31st March 2023. There will be a total of 18 double headers in IPL 2023, and the day matches in the league will begin at 3:30 PM IST, while the night matches are going to start at 7:30 PM IST in IPL 2023. The last match of the group stage will be played at Bengaluru Stadium on 21st May 2023 between RCB and GT.

    IPL 2023 Playoffs Schedule

    IPL 2023 playoffs schedule has not been announced by the IPL governing council as of yet now. However, you can expect the final of the tournament to be played at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad on or before 31st May 2023.
