Board of Cricket Council of India has made it clear that it will do everything in its power to ensure the fitness of Indian players before the ODI World Cup 2023. Shreyas Iyer and Jasprit Bumrah are struggling with injuries and this left a void in the Indian team.
Jasprit Bumrah’s injury concern makes Mohammed Siraj and Mohammed Shami quite vital for the Indian team in the upcoming World Cup which is scheduled to be played in India in October and November 2023.

BCCI has issued a circular which states that all the players who are in contention for the ODI World Cup 2023 will receive adequate rest during the IPL to avoid any injuries that could hamper India’s campaign in the upcoming World Cup.
Both Siraj and Shami can be rested for a few matches in IPL and this will put their respective teams in the tournament in a flux.
