    IPL 2023: Sisanda Magala Replaces Kyle Jamieson for Chennai Super Kings

    Sisanda Magala, a young South African pacer who recently displayed a good performance in the SA20 League has been announced as the replacement for the injured Kyle Jamieson who is going to miss the entirety of the tournament. Jamieson was ruled out of the tournament a few days ago as he is yet to recover from the injury that he suffered in June last year.

    Sisanda Magala picked 14 wickets for Sunrisers Eastern Cape at an economy rate of 8.68 in 11 innings in the SA20 League. He has the ability to be a wicket-taker can be the perfect replacement for Kyle Jamieson in the CSK’s squad. He is set to join CSK at his base price of Rs 50 Lakhs.

    Kyle Jamieson, who last played for New Zealand in England in a Test series in June last year, had picked up a back injury after being selected for the two-match Test series against England at home. He is now slated to undergo a surgery which is likely to sideline him for at least 4 months in 2023.

    Chennai Super Kings is all set to play the opening match of the tournament on 31st March 2023 against the defending champions Gujarat Titans.
