IPL 2023 | SRH vs DC: Aakash Chopra questions Sunrisers Hyderabad’s decision to send Mayank Agarwal at No. 6

Former cricketer criticizes team management's batting order choices during Sunrisers Hyderabad's loss to Chennai Super Kings in the last match.

Former Indian cricketer and popular commentator Aakash Chopra has taken a dig at the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) team management for the baffling decision to demote Mayank Agarwal down to number six in the batting order against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in their latest IPL match. Chopra expressed his doubts over the team’s tactics, asking the management about the logic behind this unusual move.

In a video shared on his YouTube channel, Chopra questioned the SRH management’s decision to tinker with the batting order, which eventually resulted in a seven-wicket loss to the Chennai Super Kings. Chopra opined that Abhishek Sharma’s performance as an opener in his first match of the season was impressive, but Harry Brook could struggle against spinners on slow pitches, despite being dismissed by a fast bowler in the match.

The Sunrisers Hyderabad have had a poor start to their campaign in IPL 2023, managing only two wins out of six games, which places them at the bottom of the points table. They will face the Delhi Capitals (DC) in their next match at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Monday, April 24.

The team needs to get their act together and start performing to stay in the competition. Fans will be eagerly waiting for the SRH vs DC match to see how the Hyderabad-based franchise bounces back from their recent defeats.
