Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) emerged victorious against Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the 14th match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. Shikhar Dhawan received the Player of the Match award for his extraordinary performance with bat.

Sunrisers Hyderabad secured an 8-wicket victory over Punjab Kings in Match 14 with an unbeaten century partnership between Rahul Tripathi (74*) and Aiden Markram (37*). They chased down the target of 144 with ease, crossing the finish line with 17 balls remaining.

Aiden Markram, the captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and decided to field first against Punjab Kings at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.

After being put to bat first the Punjab Kings finished on 143/9 in 20 overs, and set a target of 144 runs for SRH, with an unbeaten knock of 99 runs off 66 balls by Shikhar Dhawan, including 12 fours and five sixes. Mayank Markande claimed four wickets for SRH, while Marco Jansen and Umran Malik picked up two each.

In response, Sunrisers Hyderabad chased the target of 144 runs and achieved 145/2 in 17.1 overs, with an unbeaten knock of 74 runs off 48 balls by Rahul Tripathi, and an additional unbeaten knock of 37 runs off 21 balls from captain Aiden Markram.
